... the marks on "Collection - Diversity, depth,
and curator knowledge of his or her collection"
are lower (as yours and mine are) than most
collections where the curators put cels together
randomly and provide absolutely no information on
the context of their cels. You've obviously put
a lot of time in on this collection, and it hurts
when people rate you down precisely for the good
work that you have done.
A perennial problem in college teaching, btw. If
you put in a major effort in upgrading your
classes, by adding new texts, technology, student-
focused activities, etc., you can always expect
student evaluations to zing you at the end of the
semester, even if the new stuff is successful.
That's because most people are happier with the
same old same old.
BTW, I'm not a Sailor Moon fan, but I think your
MKR cels show that you have taste like mine:
characters in intense action vs. head-on "nice"
facials with plenty of square millimeters of
opened eyes.
It could just be that action-oriented galleries
like ours just don't appeal to those who cruise
through galleries just looking at the
thumbnails. To appreciate them, you have to stop
and click and explore. (I like the way you
include the screen shots to help do this.) Most
people, I'd guess, don't have time to do this.
Probably this discussion ought to be mirrored
over at Rubberslug's forum (if it isn't already),
where Jason can put his 2 cents in. I don't
think this is what he planned when he created the
rating system.
